Biography

Wendi Wu is a London-based stage and spatial designer working across theatre, installation and live performance. Her practice explores how materials, performers and space interact to create environments that transform over time. Working across both design and making, she develops projects from concept through to installation, with experience in scenic construction, prop making and exhibition production.

Mountain is the stage design for Human Journey. Using a single piece of fabric, the set transforms throughout the performance as it is manipulated by the performers. The changing landscape reflects different interpretations of the mountain, creating a stage environment that shifts between stillness and movement, reality and imagination.
