Biography
ProfessionalHello, I live in Walthamstow and design different kinds of performance. I'm doing a PhD in Scenography looking at ways of making scenographic process more embodied - using walking, running and being in space/place to expand my design practice. I teach on the MA Collaborative Theatre Production and Design at Guildhall, and am involved in a number of ongoing research projects at the school too.

Singapore Repertory Theatre
This production of Robert Askins’ Hand to God was an International collaboration between Singapore Repertory Theatre and a British designer and director. The SRT company is composed of Singaporean, Malaysian, Chinese and ex-pat practitioners, and has an ethos of inviting overseas creatives into the fold.
As a design process this required collaboration across two continents and differing time zones, which was demanding in terms of the flow of information and emphasised the importance of design drawing as a method of communication. The production benefited from a creative affinity between the scenic workshop and I, which was a product of luck and happenstance. The setting for the play was a Sunday school for much younger children than we ever see in the piece, to offer an innocent counterpoint to the extreme demonic visions and explicit content offered by the narrative.
