Biography

Sophie Ruth Donaldson is a Costume Designer and creator originally from Scotland, now based in London working across live performance, contemporary dance, fashion, music and film. Sophie is a member of Eco Stage and is interested in exploring sustainable approaches to design in their work.

Recent collaborations in contemporary dance include working with Motionhouse, Hofesh Shechter Company and Eve Stainton. Sophie also currently collaborates with stylist Patricia Villirillo to create costumes for bands including The 1975, Beabadoobee and Pale Waves. They also teach on the Costume Design for Performance short course at Central Saint Martins.
