Biography
New ProfessionalHi! I’m Grace Evans, and simply I love to make weird and wonderful things! I graduated from the theatre and performance design BA at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts August 2022. There, I created set and costume designs for theatre and musicians. Experimenting with reusing waste and creating sustainably is my passion. Aiming to build better worlds to inspire our own!
Most recently, I have been a set, prop, and costume maker for Earthbound, an outdoor circus dance company, for their most recent production ‘For The Love of Stuff’.

Earthbound
‘For The Love of Stuff’ is an outdoor circus / dance performance highlighting the importance of community collaboration to tackle the impacts of climate change. Aimed at family audiences for festivals. It is set in a distant dystopian future where there is no nature, only a plastic wasteland of creatures called The Plastic Fantastics lead by The Almighty Biggy P. Mother Earth (the aerial hoop artist) in one last ditch attempt, sends a seed to a plastic fantastic which is planted, and changes their world.
The core principle of the design and making processes is reusing waste. Therefore, all the costumes and props, as well as some set pieces, have been made from refuse materials or sourced second hand. I also experimented with designing for disassembly to make sure reuse is as easy as possible post production.
