Biography
ProfessionalAlex Milledge is a designer, maker and multi-media artist based in Cardiff, Wales, working across performance, puppetry, production design, props, scenic and costume making. Their creative practice spans theatre, live performance, TV and Film, rooted in collaboration, craft and imaginative storytelling.
Alex has designed and created work for companies including Little Angel Theatre, Brymore Productions, Greenwich Theatre and Edinburgh Fringe Festival. They have also contributed as associate designer and assistant across productions, including at Trafalgar Studios, The Bunker Theatre, Pleasance Theatre, Arcola Theatre, Southwark Playhouse and Kiln Theatre.
Her props and scenic work extend into television and film projects, with credits including on Heartstopper Season 2, Big Cook Little Cook and award-winning short film The Duel. Alex’s work is informed by a passion for hands-on making and experimentation, crossing traditional boundaries between design disciplines.
A graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama (2022), Alex continues to explore the possibilities of puppet-led performance and multi-media design, with an interest in expanding into creature effects for screen. She is committed to creative collaboration and facilitating the realisation of design projects across the creative industries.
