Assistance Experience
All throughout my time at LIPA I have worked in many supporting roles to those in the years above me. I have assisted in a workshop and crew capacity as well as doing a lot of scenic art.
Usually in second year, design students are assigned to a show in an assisting role however due to a smaller year group in the year above, myself and a courese-mate were sent straight into designing a fully fledged show. As we weren’t assigned an assistant I was reminded of all the important tasks required of assistants’ and feel I absolutely have the skills and qualities to be the assistant I would have wanted.
