Do designers ever really retire? We hope not.

If you have chosen to do less active designing or teaching, we still value your contribution to the Society immensely. It is entirely up to you how much you choose to become actively involved.

By joining us you can keep in touch with contemporary practice, attend events, volunteer to join the committee and offer advice and support to younger members.

As a retired member you will receive:

• Your own dedicated entry on our Designers’ register profiling up to 30 images of your realised work, your bio, contact details and a link to your own website.
• Access to an international network of professional around the world via OISTAT (International Association of Scenographers, Theatre Architects and Technicians) via events such as World Stage Design and regular commission meetings and seminars.
• Regular updates via our SBTD Newsletter.
