For the Bush Theatre London he designed the world premieres of Sharman Macdonald’s ‘When I Was a Girl I used to Scream and Shout’ with Dawn French, Celia Imrie, Eleanor David and Geraldine James and Jonathan Harvey’s Beautiful Thing with Johnny Lee Miller. At the Donmar he designed- Fool for Love and Steaming at the Piccadilly Theatre; Les Enfants du Paradis (Royal Shakespeare Company); A Walk in the Woods with Sir Alec Guiness (Comedy Theatre); The Anniversary with Sheila Hancock (Garrick); Three Sisters with Kirstin Scott Thomas (Playhouse); and the award winning The Winter Guest with Sian Thomas (Almeida Theatre). Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show (Piccadilly) and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Song and Dance with Wayne Sleep and Marty Webb (Palace) Ziegfeld directed by Joe Layton (Palladium). For Cameron Macintosh he designed The Boy Friend with Glynis Johns (Old Vic)

Opera and Ballet around the world productions include Aldeburgh Festival, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Opera de Lyon, Opera North, Royal Opera House, San Francisco Opera, Sydney Opera House, Quanzhou Ballet, Santiago de Chile Ballet and Almeida Opera.

Films: The Winter Guest, with Oscar winner Emma Thompson and Phyllida Law (directed by Alan Rickman) Award winner at the Venice Film Festival.

Awards: Robin’s design for the Almeida Theatre's production of ‘The Winter Guest’ received the 1996 British Theatre Managers’ Award for Best Designer.
In the same year the Critics’ Circle named Robin Designer of the Year.
2008 Nominated Evening Standard best Design 'The Emperor Jones' National Theatre.
He was part of the winning team for the Golden Triga at the Prague International Theatre Design Quadrienalle.
