Biography
Rachael is a set and costume designer with experience in a variety of performances including theatre, film, dance, opera, installation, site-specific, interactive and live events.
Design work includes What Every Woman Knows (Finborough Theatre), Bernada Alba (Blackheath Halls), Faces in the Window (Arcola Theatre), Bedbound (Lion and Unicorn), Iago (Lansdowne Bristol and Zoo Edinburgh), Bedtime Stories (BAC), An audience with Adrienne (Drill Hall), The Lost World (Bristol Old Vic- Assistant designer), Falstaff (Glyndebourne- Assistant to the designer), punchdrunk’s Faust, Mask of the Red Death, Tunnel 228, Sleep No More (Design assistant).
She is artistic associate for Coney, a collaborative company that fuses theatre and pervasive gaming, and has co-created and designed projects for the National Theatre, Science museum, BAC, Tate Britain and for a nation-wide schools project.
As artistic associate and scenographer for Unclaimed Creatures, in partnership with director Anna Brownsted, she has co-created intimate theatrical events for venues including the Old Vic Tunnels and British Museum.
She is a member of the National Theatre Design Associate Network and the Young Vic Genesis Project.
