Biography

Mark trained in Theatre set and Costume Design at Rose Bruford College in London.

Mark Has been Head of Design for the past five years at the Queens Theatre in Hornchurch with Director Bob Carlton. He has also recently been appointed resident designer at the Royal Court in Liverpool.

Set and Costume designs at the Queens include,"Sweeney Todd" Directed by Chris Bond, "The Hot Mikado", "Sleeping Beauty", "Dick Barton", "Hayfever", "A Slice of Saturday Night","Two", "Pump Boys and Dinettes", "Cinderella", "From A Jack to a King", "The Tempest",
"Twelfth Night", "Up On The Roof", "The People Are Friendly", "Mother Goose", "Wait Until Dark", "Its A Fine Life", "Curses", "Neville's Island", Gaslight" and "Camp Horror".

At the Royal Court in Liverpool mark has been working with writer Willy Russel on "Stags and Hens the remix", "Shirley Valentine" , and currently in the process of designing "Our Day Out the Musical". Other designs here include, "The Salon", "Merry Ding Dong" and "Lucky Numbers".

Mark was also associate designer for the Courtyard Theatre in Hereford. Set and costume designs include, "Fiddler on the Roof", "Dracula", "The Diary of Anne Frank", "Guys and Dolls", "The Sound of Music", "One Flew Over the cuckoos Nest", "They Shoot Horses Don't They?", "Macbeth", and Eight pantomimes.

As a Freelance designer mark has designed, "All The Fun of the Fight" , Written and Directed by John Godber. "Cinderella", "Jack and the Beanstalk", "Beauty and the Beast", "Fiddler on the Roof", "Boogie Nights", and "Footloose", all for Wakefield Theatre Royal.
"Simply the Best", "Straight and Narrow" and "Aladdin" for Oldham Coliseum Theatre." A Different Way Home", "Krapps Last Tape", "A Visit from Miss Prothero" and recently a tour of "Empty Bed Blues" for The Lakeside Theatre, Nottingham. "Twinkle Little Star", York Theatre Royal, Touring. "At the Gates of Gaza", Birmingham Rep, Touring. "Little Shop of Horrors", New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich. "I Do", Blue Eyed Sole Dance Co, Touring. "Jack and the Beanstalk," Nottingham Playhouse.
Mark has also designed ten pantomimes for the Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy.
Marks Assistant Design Credits include, "Pageant", Vaudeville, London. "Forbidden Broadway"", Albery, London. Beautiful Galatea" and the "Night Belle2, Buxton Opera Festival. "Inherit the Wind "and "Martin Night", Kings Head London.

Currently mark is working on "Over Here" a big band musical, due to open on Broadway this year.
