Biography
Francesca is a Set and Costume Designer working in theatre, opera, dance and film. In 2009 she graduated from Wimbledon College of Art with a BA(Hons) in Design for Performance. She was a finalist in the 2009 Linbury Prize, the UK stage design competition for recent graduates administered by the National Theatre.
She has designed at the Trafalgar Studios, Soho Theatre, The Union Theatre, The Kings Head Theatre, The Contemporary Dance Centre at The Place and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
She has just been nominated for an “Offie” (The Off West End Theatre Awards 2011) in the best set design category for Irish Blood, English Heart. She has recently returned from working at Glimmerglass Opera Festival, USA for their summer season, working on Medea, Carmen, Annie Get Your Gun, A Blizzard in Marblehead Neck and Later the Same Evening.
