Biography
New ProfessionalBen Glover is a Deaf designer. He uses interdisciplinary skills in both creative and technical fields to produce exciting pieces of work that span art and theatre. He utilises different technologies as part of performative work which is informed by his background in theatre and computing and thrives during the process of collaboration. His recent artwork Simple Misunderstanding addressed contemporary issues that affected him personally such as being Deaf and, through a virtual reality art installation, raised awareness of the challenges Deaf people face every day. This was funded after winning the Mead Fellowship.

Americana! is a play inspired by true events, set in Greece at the end of WW2. The play is performed by one actress therefore lighting and video projections are used to reflect the two characters and their separate scenes. In addition, a trailer created by Ben Glover was made to advertise the play for the performance in September 2019.
