Biography
ProfessionalJohn trained at Wimbledon School of Art. Head of Design at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Alton Towers as show designer, creating parades, magic shows and ice shows, including Peter Rabbit on Ice. Stafford Festival Shakespeare: Macbeth, The Comedy of Errors, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Much Ado About Nothing and Hamlet.
Other productions include Celtic Heartbeat. A Slice of Saturday Night and A Neil Simon Trilogy for Cunard and five cycles of the Community Theatre Lichfield Mysteries. Lichfield Garrick Theatre: Ladies Day, The Entertainer, The Blue Room, Haunting Julia, Educating Rita, September in the Rain. In the main house Lichfield Garrick Theatre, A Christmas Carol, Alice in Wonderland, Snow White and the Magic Mirror, Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk and The Hired Man Wolverhampton Grand: Brassed Off, Ladies Day. John also designs and makes for Qdos Entertainment across a wide range of productions.

Lichfield Garrick Theatre
It was decided to set the production in a hay barn which reflected the bucolic themes in the show. The format in pantomime usually centres around a cloth and set piece format.
Costume followed a fairy tale theme and it was decided to have a Scottish Giant. The Giant puppet was scaled up to 4-meters high along with the giant props which accompanied the scene.
