Biography

Agnes is a London-based theatre designer from Hong Kong who recently graduated with BA (Hons) Theatre Design from the University of the Arts London.

Specialising in set and costume design, Agnes has designed multiple productions, with a few having the chance to be produced into performances. She has a profound interest in audience experience and immersive theatre, captivated by how theatre engages with the audience both physically by utilising a purposefully designed space and mentally through the narrative and interactions. She strives to explore the possibilities and limits of engaging audiences both physically and mentally.

The Clouds by Aristophanes, rewritten and directed by Lorraine Bitmead for the Evolution Festival of Lyric Hammersmith Theatre. We relocated this Greek comedy into the House of Commons, focusing on the debate between Just and Unjust, and their opposite school of thought. Exploring the fragmentation of our current society and the ‘We’ vs ‘I’ culture.
