Assistance Experience

I am an Architect graduated in 2019 from Mumbai and completed my Masters in MA Theatre and performance design at Wimbledon college of arts, UAL.

I have assisted as an Assistant art director/ Production designers for various commercials, films and web series in Mumbai. During this experience I worked on the technical drawings required for the execution of the set and the miniature model if required. I started with working on commercials where I was working on graphics and prints along with the technical drawing. I later became efficient at sourcing props for the set as per the mood board and started being a part of the set dressing team.
In my work experience back in Mumbai, the roles sometimes blurred which allowed me to work on various tasks in one project itself. I worked in a film called “Bhoot police” and a web series “Call my agent Bollywood” as an assistant Art director, which polished my skills in set construction and execution. I also worked on 2 unreleased projects as a set decorator which made me engage with props and set dressing.
Through my experience I realised my passion in art interpreting a narrative. Being aware of the different characteristics of mediums, working to transform a narrative into a visual set always intrigued me. This made me pursue my interest in sets and explore theatre.
