We offer specialism in the fourth year in which students undertake a range of design projects consisting of 100% of their entire study in the fourth year. Usually the students will undertake one or two realised designs in addition to some performance or devised work, an introduction to craft and technical skills and computer-aided design. In the third year students may take a module: Scenography,: Theory and Practice which introduces students to thinking on theatrical space both within 'theatre' and without, in history, at present and for the future. Earlier in their course, students take various introductions to lighting and sound design. It is possible for a student on a general drama degree here to spend approximately 50% of their four years of study in design, scenography or technology related areas.
