Biography

Yannis Thavoris was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. He is the winner of the 1997 Linbury Prize for Stage Design. In 1994 he graduated with a diploma from the School of Architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He was awarded the Lilian Voudouris Foundation scholarship in Athens to study at Central Saint Martin's College of Art & Design, where he graduated with a Master of Arts in European Scenography in 1997.

Yannis has worked in opera, theatre & architecture. His recent designs include:
