2016

Brian Woolland’s taut and poetic plays, This Flesh Is Mine and When Nobody Returns bring together Homer’s Troy and the Middle East of today: worlds shaken by cycles of violence and revenge, by ambition and self-interest masquerading as idealism; worlds struggling towards any possibility of reconciliation.
A co-production with ASHTAR Theatre, Palestine, and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Ileum and Ithaka: Plays of Love and War were staged as part of the 2016 Nour Festival of Arts.
