Palace of the End consists of three monologues relating to the Iraq war. I wanted to create an immersive space which would allow Judith Thompson's incredibly powerful language to breathe. I was very inspired by the light work of James Turrell and Dan Flavin and worked closely with lighting deisgner RIchard Owen to create various 'islands' of action in front of a large neon lightbox.
