Production photo of Doctor di Glem. This was a double bill of Welsh language versions of "Le Malade Imaginaire"("Y Claf Diglefydd") and "Le Médecin Malgré Lui"("Doctor Di-glem"). The directors had very different approaches to style and the meaning of period in the context of a theatrical production. The unifying visual factor was the basic structure of the set, though each used it in a different way. The costumes for "Y Claf Diglefydd" were broadly traditional, i.e. they treated time in an historical way. For "Doctor Di-glem", we raided period forms and silhouettes and wedded them loosely to modern fashion. The palette for "Y Claf Diglefydd" was rich and the fabrics heavy. In "Doctor Di-glem" it was sunny creams and whites, with occasional flashes of colour, and very lightweight fabrics.
