Biography
Martina Trottmann accomplished her education as haute couture and theatre dressmaker in Switzerland 10 years ago. After working on various projects as freelance dressmaker, arts and crafts teacher to children in Peru and teaching dressmaking to vulnerable women in Switzerland she decided to move to London to study Costume Design in 2004-2007. Her interests lie in combining the skills of making and design using textiles amongst other materials to create costumes made from scratch tailored to the particular needs of the performance and each individual performer.
She currently works as freelance costume designer and maker for theatre, contemporary dance, film and events as well as in profession related education for companies such as Secret Cinema, Transitions Dance Company (TrinityLaban Conservatoire), Stop Gap Dance Company and Cilgwyn Theatre Company.
