Biography

Based in Luton, Lauren is a Set and Costume Designer for performance.

She trained in Theatre Design at Nottingham Trent University and has since designed for small scale touring shows, site specific, immersive, carnival, festivals, installation, and plays including new writing for youth companies.

Lauren was awarded Nottingham Theatre Royal's Costume Design Prize in 2015 leading to the realisation of 3 of her costume designs for the 150th Anniversary of the Theatre Royal opening.

In 2016 Lauren was awarded the Birmingham Opera Prize for her speculative designs of the Opera ‘Dido and Aeneas’.
This gave her the opportunity to work on the Company’s 2018 world premiere of ‘Wake’ as the Assistant Designer to Richard Hudson.

In 2017 Lauren's King Costume won First Runner Up at EMCANN Carnival Clash as well as a Design Award.

Lauren has also worked extensively as an assistant designer on a number of theatre productions assisting designers Stuart Nunn and Nicky Shaw in Opera productions as well as Samuel Wyer, Hannah Sibai and Hannah Wolfe in theatre and musical productions.
