Judex Veerasamy attended secondary school at College du Saint Esprit, Mauritius. He left that college in 1973 to study Communication Electronics.Beneficiary of a French scholarship lately, he was given the opportunity to follow the Lighting Design for Professionals course, conducted by ENSATT (Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts et Techniques du Theatre).He is also the holder of a Diploma in Audio Engineering and Music Production. Judex is a theatre and cinema enthusiast. He is a classical and blues guitarist and music composer. His written and spoken international languages are English and French.
Career
Judex is a theatre professional and has been working for the Ministry of Arts and Culture and the Plaza Theatre since 1983, exclusive of 1990 to 1992, during which period he worked as audio engineer on a contractual basis for the Electric Box Company in Sydney, Australia. He actually holds the post of Sound and Lighting Designer at the Plaza Theatre. Judex is also a registered trainer and conducts courses in stage lighting and sound techniques of the Industrial and Vocational Training Board and the Centre de Formation Artistique of the Ministry of Arts and Culture, Mauritius.
During his career, Judex has had the opportunity to work with reputed national and international artists and producers.
