Joe Oliver Eason
Joe Oliver Eason is a London based playwright and designer.
He holds a BA in Theatre Production Arts, specialising in costume and set design, from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
Joe began his theatrical life at a young age as a performer before working as a design assistant at the Wycombe Swan Youth Theatre. Since then his interest for the industry has blossomed while working on productions small and large with local youth theatres and his own company: VF Theatre Co.
In 2012 Joe began studying at Mountview, developing skills mainly within the areas of set & costume design but also improving skills in carpentry, scenic art, and prop making. At the same time he has continued to expand his skills as a graphic designer and conceptual artist, using these as additional tools to aid his work as a scenic designer.
As a playwright, Joe is enjoying growing success with his first musical: 1,000 Suns. Following a self-produced run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2012, the show has continued to gather interest and praise from the public and critics and has been performed by several Universities across the UK. The show is currently in the early stages of pre-production for a professional London run.
