Biography

Professional

Evdokia was born in Greece and she has been working as a designer since 2004. Before her formal education in Design, she has been trained mainly as a performer covering a different range of dancing styles: ballet, contemporary, and competitive ballroom dancing.
After completing a BA degree in Dance in Greece in 1998, Evdokia spent the following years gaining experience as a dancer, as a dance teacher, as well as a designer and maker for dancing & theatre costumes.
In London she obtained an MA in Physical Theatre at the University of Surrey and Royal Holloway University of London, and an MA in Costume, Set & Light Design for Dance at Laban (City University). In 2005, Evdokia was short-listed for the Linbury Biennial Prize for Stage Design in London.
Since 2004, she has been working both as a choreographer and scenographer, and her work was presented in several theatres all over the world such as Athens, Rhodes, Cyprus, London, Vienne, Luxemburg, Berlin, Prague & Milan.
In London, she collaborated for 5 years with Futures Theatre Company, while for 10 years she designed the costumes for Bird College. She also collaborates as a choreographer and designer, since 2005, with Ben Judd, a British artist and researcher. In 2011 she was the technical coordinator of Spider International Artistic project at Kakogiannis foundation.
Since 2010 till 2017, she collaborated with Dr.Kiki Selioni in her post doc research, designing Costumes, Set & lighting for her performances presentations in Athens and London. In 2017 she collaborated with the artistic director of the National Opera of Greece, Andonis Foniadakis, and the British choreographer Douglas Lee.
Today, she works mainly as a freelance Scenographer.
