For my final MA project I proposed an immersive, perambulatory performance of Angela Carter’s “The Company of Wolves’” based on Red Riding Hood and set within a series of interconnecting rooms where the audience could wander around, watching individual scenes and performances as they happened throughout the location, choosing their own narrative. I proposed giant knitting that was unravelled to reveal a hairy wolf girl, a Grandmother with a dress made of porcelain and an animatronic fox stole, a family who disappeared into the wallpaper and a dress that turns into a tent that turns into a theatre space of it’s own for a dream like puppet performance to take place. This final costume was the one I chose to realise and I produced a piece of theatre in collaboration with choreographer Charlotte Vincent ( and Ieva Kuniskis (, performed at Lilian Baylis studio at Sadler’s Wells in December 2013.
