Biography

I am a freelance Theatre designer with 22 years experience in the theatre, opera and television industries. Originally from Leeds, I have lived in London and now Lincolnshire: where I create work from my garden studio. I am multi skilled and love this aspect of my job.
I have two children and husband, Giuseppe, with whom I often collaborate (BelliandBelli).
I am a regional ambassador for SBTD East Midlands. I am an Associate Lecturer in design on Costume Design and Construction course at Nottingham Trent University and a visiting lecturer at the University Of Lincoln. I co-own the online business 1to25scale.com which supplies laser cut model pieces for scenographers.

Since graduating in 1998, I have designed sets and costumes for numerous types of work: Shakespeare plays, plays with music, new writing, children’s theatre, concerts, musicals, site specific work, devised performance and opera. I am currently promoting Theatre Designers as project instigators.

I have always enjoyed model making and continue to assist designers along side my own practise. I have experience at all levels of the industry.
