Biography
Emily began theatrical training in 1999. After specialising in Dance for several years her passions progressed to the backstage arts. After completing an AVCE in Performing Arts she continued her training by obtaining a First Class BA Hons degree in Dance and Technical Theatre. This gave her the opportunity to acquire a good knowledge in most areas of the theatre and to specialise in set design, scenic art and construction. Culminating in the creation of an adventurous set for the musical production of Guys and Dolls (2009) in her final year at university.
Since leaving university Emily has toured internationally with Array working as Assistant Scenic Artist/Lighting Technician on the dance and projection installation ‘Ousia’ (2009). Additionally, she has assisted with rigging and artistry in Slung Slow's production of 'They Only Come at Night' (2009) at the Barbican Centre, London. Recently she Stage Managed Carmel Thomas Performing Arts' production on 'It's A Grand Night For Singing' at Her Majest's Theatre, London. She is presently employed as a Technician at the Harlow Playhouse, Essex.
Emily is currently looking for opportunities to build upon her theatre design, construction and scenic artist experience in London and the surrounding areas.
