Biography
Ele has designed set and costumes for small scale professional touring and arts council funded theatre; large scale nationally funded community theatre; and been a design and making assistant for large scale companies.
Some specific areas of interest are children's theatre and storytelling, devised performance, dance and physical theatre, site specific scenography, socially engaged and community theatre.
Ele always aims for her designs to be fully integrated into a performance - everything working in an interdisciplinary way, merging the boundaries and roles of set and costume design.
Ele also works as a Creative Practitioner and workshop leader, working with arts organisations, county councils, Creative Partnerships, and schools.
She studied Drama and Theatre Studies at the University of Kent, Canterbury, with a masters level year in Scenography.
Ele is based in South East England, and frequently travels around the country for work.
