David Harris

Biography
Having studied design in the Netherlands, USA and London, David graduated from Design for Performance at Wimbledon College of Art with a 1st Hons in 2009. He has most recently designed The Company of Strangers at the Courtyard, London and the international dance collaborations; Tame Game, The Place, London and City, Mu theatre, Budapest and touring. Credits also include Don’t Shoot the Clowns, Queens Theatre, Belfast and touring (associate to Miriam Nabarro) as well as numerous fringe plays and festival stage designs.
As an assistant, David has worked with designers including Stephen Brimson Lewis, (Flarepath, Royal Haymarket) Peter McKintosh, (Crazy For you, Regent’s Park Theatre, The Marriage of Figaro, English National Opera) Klara Zieglerova, (Empire, Broadway, NY, Sister Act, International transfers and UK tour) Robert Innes Hopkins (Tristan and Isolde, The Norwegian Opera, Prince Igor, Zurich Opera) Andrew Edwards (Voyage around my Father, Salsbury Playhouse, Les Parents Terribles, Trafalgar Studios) as well as Baking Time, Drum, Something in the Air, Mole in a Hole, Gorgeous, and Ring a Ding Ding for the Oily Cart theatre company.
David attended an intense week's training in CAD at the National Theatre in 2009. He also contributes as a member of the committee for the Society of British Theatre Designers.
