It is midnight before the very first performance of The Mikado at the Savoy Theatre, and the Stage Manager and Wardrobe Mistress recreate the story of the show for the Night Watchman. Here, a strip of Japanese fabric creates a hanamichi as a setting for the puppet Yum Yum at the start of Act 2.
