Biography
Alex studied at The Nottingham Trent University, graduating in 2000. Since, she has spent two years supervising and teaching design and stage management students, as Design Assistant in the acclaimed Drama Department of Royal Holloway University of London. Alex is now happy to be designing and assisting full time in the freelance world!
Set design credits include: "Awsome Praise 1" for the 3E Foundation at Barbican Concert Hall, "Shadow of a Gunman" a proposed production of for BAC, "Robin Hood" for Nottingahm Playhouse, and "Alice" for Leicester Haymarket Theatre Outreach.
Set Assisting credits include: "BBA and Proud" National Tour, "Figaro" Lyric Hammersmith, and "Jagos Box" and "The Tempest" for Action Transport.
Costume work includes: Designer on "Don Q" and "Sleepless Nights" for Horla at Rose and Crown Theatre, Hampton Wick. Construction on "Under your Hat" for Oily Cart. Supervisor for "Old Oak Chest" and "The Inscription" a professional research project at Royal Holloway. Construction on "Macbeth" for Nottingham Community Company.
Alex has a wide and varied interest in theatrical production of all kinds but maintains a love for physical theatre and dance performance which she hopes to explore further in the future.
