Sean trained at Wimbledon School of Art, graduating in 1985 with First Class Honours. After an early career as an assistant to many of Europe's leading designers with companies such as the Royal Opera, the Metropolitan Opera and the Royal Shakespeare Company, and as a designer for theatre ranging from one-man cabaret to 300-man community operas, Sean returned to Wales to live and work.Sean has designed over 70 productions in Wales since 1995 making only brief excursions outside to the Soho Theatre in collaboration with Script Cymru, the Hampstead Theatre in collaboration with the Sherman Theatre and the Danish Royal Opera.
He was appointed as Design Lecturer at The Welsh College of Music and Drama in 1998 and since 1999 he has been the Head of Design.
Sean is currently the British Design Schools exhibition organiser for PQ'03 and is a member of the Linbury Biennial committee.
