Martyn Bainbridge's most recent theatre designs include: "Brief Encounter" (West End); "The Crucible", "Under Milk Wood", "The Norman Conquests", "Table Manners", "Living Together", "Round and Round the Garden", "Gaslight" (Clwyd Theatr Cymru).

Associate Designer Clwyd Theatr Cymru.

Other theatre designs include productions of: "A Little Night Music", "The Birthday Party", "Kes", "My Cousin Rachel", "Outside Edge", "Pump Boys and Dinettes", "Absurd Person Singular", "Charley's Aunt", "The Shadow of a Gunman", "I Have Been Here Before" and the national tour of "Master Forger" (all for Theatre Royal Plymouth); "Measure for Measure" (Nye Theatre Oslo); "Deathtrap" (Northcott Theatre, Exeter); "Outside Edge" (Churchill Theatre, Bromley); "The Soldier's Tale" (Oxford Playhouse); "On The Razzle" (Leeds Playhouse); "Intimate Exchanges" (Northcott Theatre, Exeter); "Brief Encounter" (Bill Kenwright Tour).

Currently working on a musical version of "The War of the Worlds" for a world tour.

Opera designs include: "Beatrice et Benedict" (Indianapolis Opera); "Ariadne auf Naxos" (Garsington Opera); "The Trial" (Collegiate Theatre); "Die Zauberflöte" (Kent Opera); "Madama Butterfly" (Phoenix Opera); "Norma", "La Traviata" (Opera Northern Ireland); "La Rondine" (Royal Academy of Music); "Le Nozze di Figaro" (Guildhall).

Martyn Bainbridge's ballet designs include: "Daphnis and Chlöe" (The Royal Ballet at Covent Garden and Metropolitan Opera House, New York).

Martyn Bainbridge has also designed exhibitions and these include: "The Astronomers" (London Planetarium); "Armada 1588"-1988 (National Maritime Museum, Greenwich); "Lawrence of Arabia" (National Portrait Gallery, London); "Daendels" (Rijksmuseum Amsterdam). He also designed a major permanent exhibition for Madame Tussaud's in Amsterdam - "Madam Tussaud Scenerama" - and a new "Chamber of Horrors" (Madame Tussaud's in London); "Peter the Great" (Queen's House Greenwich); "EMI Centenary Exhibition" in London; and "The Explorer's Gallery" (National Maritime Museum, Greenwich) which opened for the Millennium.
