Matt gained a Ph.D. in engineering from Cambridge University before moving into theatre, working as lighting designer, designer, production manager and draughtsman. Over the past five years he has worked with ENO, the Barbican Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company.Design/lighting design credits include: "Bill and Esme" (Chelsea Theatre, London); "See How Beautiful I Am" (Pleasance, Edinburgh; Bush Theatre, London); "Bluebeard's Castle" (The Opera Group, Cambridge Corn Exchange); "Eye Contact" (Riverside Studios, London); "Merrily We Roll Along" (Prince Theatre, London); "Così Fan Tutte" (ADC Theatre, Cambridge); "King's Parade" (Theatre Royal, London); "The Gondoliers" (Minack Theatre, Cornwall).
