Born in Venice, Luca studied Architecture in Genoa (BA, 1983) and then Theatre Design with Margaret Harris and Hayden Griffin at Motley Theatre Design Course (1984-85).He was a finalist in the 1987 Linbury Prize for Stage Design, won the Opera Ascona (Switzerland) Theatre Design Prize in 1990 and exhibited in the 1999 Time + Space exhibition in London. In 2004 his costume designs for "The Well of the Saints" was selected to form part of WSD 2005 - World Stage Design Conpetition 2005, Toronto.- Work in London includes: "L'École des Femmes" (Shaw Theatre)
