Lucy Thornett

I am a scenographer and lecturer at University of the Arts, London. I make site-specific and immersive performances and installations for theatres, galleries and other spaces. I have also designed sets and costumes for numerous performances since 2008 back in my home of Australia. I’m currently completing an AHRC-funded practice-led PhD in augmented reality scenographies at the University of Leeds, and I’m also associate editor reviews for Theatre and Performance Design journal. I joined the SBTD because I was excited to find that an organised community of performance designers existed when I moved here from Australia in 2015, nothing like it exists back home!
