Act 1: Dilly looking into the bookcase.

"Mushroom Man" struck me as a dark story of obsession and punishment. How to build a skeleton (set) for this warped underworld? Raw surfaces, bruised flesh, peeling skin, erupting fungi, hidden gills...
Through fragments of tilting floor and earth, a tower of accumulated knowledge pushes up. An outsider intrudes... to let in light and shatter spores.
