"Sherlock Holmes and the Secret of Making Whoopee" by Sean Cunningham
La Tea Theatre, CSV, New York/2002
Directed by R. Davis McCallum - Lighting design by Peter West
SET DESIGN BY PAUL BURGESS
Scene: The Overture.
A satire on Holmes in which he find his failures with women destroy his powers of detection, only to be humiliatingly outwitted by Watson and Lestrade. The stage was given a Victorian music hall atmosphere and scene changes were achieved by fast moving wallpaper screens which could be back-lit for shadows.
