(The Greek camp)

The stage: An open raised area ('The Dardan Plain') - an arid landscape of broken stone. To the left the distant towers of 'Priam's Six Gated City' - Troy on the right, a cluster of 'brave pavilions' - the Greek tents. Beyond this a vibrant landscape shimmers in the heat.
