Set in the drawing room of the Scott-Fowlers' Mayfair flat on the third floor, 1939, "After the Dance" follows the goings-on of the self-indulgent, heavy-drinking Mayfair set and that of the earnest, younger generation. Over six months their lifestyles and emotional repression created very real human comedy and destruction.
